We have had a lot of people ask what you can do with a membership at the Technology Center . So we will start documenting some of the things that have been happening here:
Just this week, we had a mother come in for the day with her son. She learned how to used the Cricut Die Cutting Machine to make some T-shirt iron-ons. She got the iron-on material from Joanne Fabrics and brought in some t-shirts. Her 11 year old son brought in his Xbox one controller that had a stuck button. While his mom was working on the t-shirts, he watched a YouTube video on how to pull apart the Xbox one controller. He came to ask a question about pulling it apart without breaking it but then ended up doing it himself. He saved $40+ dollars because he didn’t need to buy a new one.
Another mother came in with her two kids. While she learned how to use the Cricut to make a sticker, her son started using the 3d printer to print a Dungeons and Dragons Dice roller which would have cost $35. The cost for the material to 3d print this? $3. Check it out:
They also played Minecraft and Rocket League while they waited for the 3d printing.
